Garlic is a fabulous package providing the minerals-supher, copper, selenium, chromium, boron, zinc and molybdenum. Sulpher balances out the effects of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium and makes the blood less palatable to biting insects. Garlic is a natural vermifuge making the gut less atractive to worms attaching. Garlic is also a natural antibiotic with the huge advantage that it is selective, only destroying pathogens and leaving useful and friendly gut flora.
Routine feeding of either fresh or dried granulated garlic at the rate of 1 tablespoon daily for an average size horse is recommended.
